Clarence Clarity (born Adam Crisp) is an English singer, songwriter, producer, and musician.[1] He has been praised for his unique, eclectic pop sound which was described by The Guardian as "funk played by a swarm of bees",[1] and is noted for his high degree of anonymity regarding his life outside of making music. Despite the similarity, Clarity has stated that his stage name was not overtly influenced by the meme template 'Sudden Clarity Clarence'.[2]
He is friends with Rina Sawayama, and a regular producer of her. He co-produced Sawayama's debut extended play Rina (2017), as well as her debut studio album Sawayama (2020).

Work with Rina[]
In 2017, Rina Sawayama's manager Will Frost introduced her to Clarence Clarity. The first song he did for Sawayama was "Alterlife", moment that she recalled during a Billboard 2021 interview. "I remember being like, 'Ugh! That’s too much!'".[3] Clarity ultimately produced every track from Sawayama's debut mini-album, Rina.[4] In 2018, Clarity produced Sawayama's stand-alone singles "Valentine (What's It Gonna Be)", "Cherry", and "Flicker".
Clarity also produced all but two tracks on Sawayama's debut 2020 studio album, Sawayama.[5] In June 2021, Sawayama was featured on Billboard's "Pride 2021 Cover", and was revealed that she and Clarity "cranked out" fourteen songs for her upcoming second studio album.[3]
