The Rina Sawayama Wiki allows the uploading of images for use on article pages and user pages, however, we do have some policies regarding them.

Remember: all images uploaded to Fandom should be used under fair use or be images that are freely available, with or without conditions or restrictions. You must adhere to any licensing requirements, such as attributing the author and source on the file description page.

Filenames[]

Make sure your images have decent names. Some filenames (such as highly generic filenames produced automatically by digital cameras) are disallowed. Avoid meaningless, misleading, pejorative, offensive or crude names.

Examples of good file names:

Light green check "Logo of Rina Sawayama RINA album.png"
Light green check "Rina and Charli XCX shooting Beg for You in California.jpg"

Examples of bad file names:

How to upload an image[]

Permitted image types: png, gif, jpg, jpeg, webp, ico, svg.

Individual[]

  1. Go to Special:NewFiles, click on the "Add New Image" button (top right corner), select the "Select a File" button or just drag your file on the box. Then, click on "More Options" and add a caption and licensing for your file.
  2. Go to Special:Upload. Click "Choose File" next to the "Source filename:" box to find the image on your computer. In the "Summary:" section, you can add a description and a source to the image, select the license in the "Licensing:" section and click "Upload file".

Multiple[]

There are several options to upload multiple images, however, we recommend using a Dev script. Why? Because with this script, you can upload multiple images and add a summary and license for all of them.

Installing Dev script[]

  1. Go to w:Special:MyPage/global.js.
  2. Click on the "Create" or "Edit" button.
  3. Copy and paste the code below and Publish your edit.
importArticles({
    type: 'script',
    articles: [
        'u:dev:MediaWiki:UploadMultipleFiles.js',
    ]
});

Use[]

  1. Go to Special:Upload
  2. On "Upload multiple files:" click "Yes".
  3. Click on "Choose Files" and select your images.
  4. Add a Summary and a License for all your images.

Photo shoots[]

A photo shoot is the process taken by creatives and models that results in a visual objective being obtained. An example is a model posing for a photographer at a studio or an outdoor location.

Naming[]

A proper way to name photos from a photo shoot is by adding the issue date (the day the first photo from the shoot was released) in the YYYY-MM-DD, followed by the photographer professional name, and finally the number of the photo in "nnn" format. (YYYY-MM-DD <photographer> nnn)

Examples

I uploaded a photo without this name format. What will happen to it? Don't panic (at all)! Admins may rename the files, or they will delete it without notice (in a good way).

Outtakes[]

I found outtakes from a photo shoot. Should I upload them here?

Before uploading outtakes, remember: were they leaked? or were they officially released/posted by the photographer/Rina Sawayama?

When a photo shoot is taken, either the photographer or model chooses not to release some shots, and here on the Rina Sawayama Wiki we respect that. If you upload a leaked outtake, it will be deleted without warning, and you will get a strike and a notice on your message wall.
